Description
Inspired by the paintings of Mary Blair and the Golden Books of my youth, I decided to try my hand at digital paint, using familiar subjects.
Of course this means herp derp anime fanart. There's a lot of issues with this piece, as it was my first attempt, but I decided to leave it with its problems and move on. There's a lot of problems with non-stylistic anatomy, as well as the fact that I forgot large portions of Arachne's dress.
It's my personal head-canon that Giriko was among one of the first weapons Arachne created, and he had to be a child at /some/ point in that 800-hundred years. I don't know, their interactions were always very mother/child to me, and it's sort of a charming, if not mentally concerning, idea to play around with.

I love this so very very much, and it has had a lot of influence on how I see their dynamic. Arachne as the manipulative mother-figure and Giriko as the eager-to-please, dumb child. I love the colors you used and their expression, this is incredibly dynamic and very charming!
